Welcome to ejeti.org

What is “ejeti.org”?

‘A new type of charitable organization, that does not rely only on outside donations, and runs with the financial assistance of some of the elements of a corporation to hopefully produce large amounts of cash on a regular basis, so we can assist millions of poor people into high paying jobs, or businesses that they own and control, to remove themselves from the specter of poverty for them and their family’.

Where does ‘ejeti’ come from?

Simple. ‘e’ for electronic, plus ‘jeti’ from Esperanto (an International constructed language) for ‘launch’, which is what we want to do: ‘launch people out of poverty’!

Who am I?

My name is Ian Russell Baker. I am an Australian born and bred, lived there most of my life, but also lived in, and traveled to, other countries. This is the story of how an IT guy set up what we believe to be an unusual approach to run and fund a charitable organization.

What do we do?

Putting it simply, in plain English, we help poor people in the Philippines to get out of poverty PERMANENTLY! We have in the past paid for various medical operations and other treatments, but after they were completed, the person and their family were not much better off than before. Over time we worked out a better way.

We lend money to poor people on the basis that:
There is a ZERO INTEREST RATE.
There are ZERO FEES OF ANY TYPE.
There are ZERO PENALTIES OF ANY TYPE.

There is a detailed background to our charitable organization on our About Us web page.
